来自于那位IP君提供的一个英文博客 kyoukaisen.tumblr.com 中的一条Q&A。
虽然没有从根本上解释这个问题的本质,但作为回答别人问题的一个答案来说很不错。
Question
Why re-enact history? Why not give the engineers time and resources, point at the sky and say, "Get us up there"? Is it more than just technology that keeps man on Earth? They should be going forward in tech, not hanging back! Testament can't possibly keep everyone chained to Earth, LARPing human error for centuries; there would have been a revolution before this. Of all the plot points/holes, this shallow repeat of history is what boggles my mind the most.
Answer
Yeah, normally you’d think that right? But I think that the “space” or “heaven” that they refer to doesn’t necessarily mean the outer space-definition. Seeing as they made a clone of the Divine States in a pocket dimension, and can keep a 7+ kilometer-long, 2-kilometer-wide ship afloat, I don’t think it’s that simple.
Have you ever had an experience where you were thinking of a song but couldn’t remember the part that you liked, so you ended up humming the song from the start up until that part , or you forgot what you were supposed to do so you ended up retracing the steps you took just before that? This is the kind of logic at work when the T.U. has humanity (and non-humanity) re-enacting the entirety of human history. Since they have no real, definite way of rediscovering the technology that allowed them to go to the heavens, they figured that retracing their steps would have to get them back to that point eventually.
