I think he may have left a big a enough clue with what he wrote. He says that haikus have a rigid structure. normally they are 5,7,5 syllables. But he writes, 'episode 3 ships in', and that is in six.

Actually, Haikus are written with 5,7,5 morae, which is not quite the same as a syllable, but since we don't really have this concept in native English, most people teach it as 5,7,5 syllable. To give an example "radio" is considered three syllabes, but only two morae. Episode is only two morae. Epi-sode. Thus, what he has written still meets this rigid structure of a haiku.
