Could this new X360 bundle be the first sign of Microsoft pushing Final Fantasy XIII in an effort to show that their console has everything the PS3 has to offer, and perhaps more? Only if it's indeed real!
The first hint is a faceplate of FF XIII protagonist, Lightning, sighted in a video showing some gaming related figure talking to Major Nelson... who has it on his table. While it could be a product that'll be sold separately as soon as FF XIII releases in the US, it's more than likely to be bundled with a limited edition X360 SKU.
The second hint is a retail listing that appears to list a black console, two black controllers, a 250GB HDD, a headset, and all the standard Super Elite 360 stuff for $399 (think MW2 bundle). The picture Kotaku provided, though, shows white gear. Well, whatever - it's likely to have been be created with photoshop, and if the SKU is indeed real, we'll get the actual boxing from Microsoft. The box is not key here.
In conclusion, this is rather solid evidence for a limited edition SKU - confirmation or denial are not far away, either - SE can release a statement whenever they want to, and Microsoft will be holding their X10 event this week... expect the final word on either of these occasions.
