In order to improve the PC gaming experience, Stardock and Gas Powered Games have proposed that all publishers adhere to their Gamer's Bill of Rights. This isn't something terribly new to gaming in general--consoles already have a similar standards system. Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo, certify console games and tell developers what they can and cannot do. But on the PC we don't have anything like that. Of course, we do have Games for Windows, but it's not quite the same as what we're doing here

Stardock 和Gas Powered Games提议发行商应该遵守玩家以下权利 (大意)

1. Gamers shall have the right to return games that don't work with their computers for a full refund.

玩家有权全额退回不能在他们电脑上运行的游戏

2. Gamers shall have the right to demand that games be released in a finished state.

玩家有权要求游戏发行时是真正"完成"的游戏

3. Gamers shall have the right to expect meaningful updates after a game's release.

玩家有权要求游戏发行后有内容重要的补丁

4. Gamers shall have the right to demand that download managers and updaters not force themselves to run or be forced to load in order to play a game.

玩家有权要求付费下载的游戏不需要相关管理软件同时运行才能玩.(stardock的Impulse之类的吧)

5. Gamers shall have the right to expect that the minimum requirements for a game will mean that the game will adequately play on that computer.

玩家有权要求游戏的最低配置确实能够运行游戏

6. Gamers shall have the right to expect that games won't install hidden drivers or other potentially harmful software without their express consent.

玩家有权要求游戏不会安装可能有害的软件,或隐藏的驱动程序,除非得到他们明确的同意.

7. Gamers shall have the right to re-download the latest versions of the games they own at any time.

玩家可以随时下载他们已经付费的游戏的最新版.

8. Gamers shall have the right to not be treated as potential criminals by developers or publishers.

玩家不应该被开发商和发行商当作潜在的罪犯.(D版)

9. Gamers shall have the right to demand that a single-player game not force them to be connected to the Internet every time they wish to play.

玩家有权要求玩单机时不用被迫连上互联网.

10. Gamers shall have the right that games which are installed to the hard drive shall not require a CD/DVD to remain in the drive to play.

玩家有权要求安装在硬盘上的游戏不需光驱就可运行.
