Project ‘G’/Project ‘K’, Semi-Customer project with Game Console clients.
As customer driven projects, those has extremely tight schedule and tough signoff criteria. As deployment lead, leading a team of 4 and finished successful delivery of A0/A1 sample. Client projects specially requires binary back-compatibility with previous generation of game console which brings in 3 different operation mode for verification work load, we managed to leverage regression automation and using scripting to do pre-process and post-process of regression logs and debug by priority, we managed to meet every milestone on time and with quality.
Project ‘Greenland’; Leading project of Graphic IP v9.0
As leading chip of first graphic IP v9.0 generation, it has full capacity of 4096 shader processor, along with whole new SOC v15 architecture.
Lead a team of 7 for this leading project to tackle all new issues pop up in IP and SOC, bring up major graphic features and legacy feature in SOC, porting IP level test cases and verifying functionality on SOC level.
On project side, negotiating project schedule with IP and SOC team, making decision to prioritize code drop off and balance frontend delivery requirement and verification requirement to make sure project met milestone.
Project Fiji, Radeon R290. Flagship and largest chip of Graphic IP v8.0
As deployment lead, leading a team of 3 to finished graphic IP deployment into SOC and finished major data path bring up, verification **ning and execution of major graphic features, signoff logic equivalence and supporting chip emulation version delivery and bring up. Bring up major graphic features and legacy feature in SOC, porting IP level test cases and verifying functionality on SOC level. Adding SOC level test cases to verify scenario that could only be covered in SOC.
To tackle the long simulation run time and debug cycle, we leverage different distributed computing server to run jobs in parallel and debug in ping-pong mode with North American team to leverage the advantage of multi-site company. We managed to finish all 280+ test cases regression (weekly) with all tests debug and delivered 100% passing rate on verification completion milestone.
之前是人人都知道旗舰Greenland改名叫Vega 10,后来知道17年才会出,而且是第一款用HBM2的a卡,再然后是Polaris 10的一个型号有2304SP,群众纷纷表示太少
现在终于知道Vega 10也只有4096SP,比较耐人寻味了
