V社的 SteamBox情况出了，怎么没人讨论

之前传闻甚多的Steam Box终于在CES2013（消费电子展）上有PC制作商Xi3和Valve共同宣布。Steam Box正式代号为“Piston”（活塞），是一款平托大小、修改版的PC。




       负责硬件设计的Xi3在CES上带来一个早期版本的Piston，但拒绝透露正在同Valve合作研发硬件的具体配置。Xi3首席市场总监David Politis透露Piston将会支持1T的内部存储空间，并且将提供模块化的硬件升级，包括可选择升级CPU和内存。

       Xi3也同时拒绝谈论Piston售价，但透露Steam Box是基于“性能级”定制电脑X7A所设计的，而X7A售价高达999美元。Xi3拒绝透露Piston和X7A硬件上的差异。
    
       Xi3也提供入门级定制电脑X5A，售价499美元，运行Linux系统。
      
       展示用Piston原型机拥有一块I\O主板和以太网卡、SPDIF光纤音频、4个USB 3.0接口、4个USB 2.0接口（其中一个单独作为键盘IO口）、4个e-SATA接口、四个迷你DP接口和一个DP\HDMI通用接口。

X7A 是四核 3.2 GHz CPU， 跑 Crysis 2 据报道无压力。

huh，你到底想说什么？？？ 原来的X7A现在就是Steambox了，当然估计还可能单独推出X7A，而且Steam Box也很可能不仅仅是这一个，而是一个来自Valve的授权，商标之类的
如果是定制PC的话，按照那个宣传片，定制度非常高，还是你想说X7A和Piston的区别

这个Xi3明显就是就是找了Valve抱腿推广，Valve也觉得这个符合自己定位，然后再继续推他自己的Steam for Linux和Source SDK Linux。。。。
如果是Feb 2013能推出的话，现在公布确实也是不晚了，装Win也无非是Steam上提供一份驱动，然后自己买Win去。

应该不是，Kickstarter在Oct 28就结束了，这个宣传片29号才放的，看起来应该是找新企业东家的片

简单来说就是开机直接进Steam的Big Picture Mode，无他，哪里都一样。。。
没人管你能不能玩什么，Gabe只管你上来是不是登录Steam有没有送钱而已，Steam for Linux能登录Steam Store就行
现在Steam for Linux已经有不少游戏了

Valve is working on its own Steam Box hardware that will run Linux, according to an interview with Valve head Gabe Newell published on The Verge.

"We'll come out with our own and we'll sell it to consumers by ourselves," Newell said. "That'll be a Linux box, [and] if you want to install Windows you can. We're not going to make it hard. This is not some locked box by any stretch of the imagination."
