Launch Day Xbox 360 Consoles No Longer Under Warranty

News has hit the internet today that Microsoft has officially stopped covering the launch Xbox 360 consoles with their RRoD warranty. This doesn't come as a huge surprise considering the manufacture date and length of time in between. I can't think of a product, especially of the electronics category, that has a free warranty for 3 plus years. The news was confirmed when gaming blog Destructoid called Microsoft support and were informed that the free fix was no longer available for launch units; you can of course still have your broken 360 fixed for the normal price of repair.

网上公布的新闻，微软已经正式停止为Xbox360游戏机推出的RRoD保修。考虑到制造日期和产品寿命，这并不是非常惊人。我不认为一个产品，尤其是电子产品，有3年以上的免费保修。这一消息被证实时，游戏博客Destructoid呼吁微软支持，然后被告知免费保修已经失效;你可以当然还是可以以正常的价格维修你损坏的360。

今天来自因特网上的最新消息，微软正式停止了对首发批次xb360游戏机的三红故障免费维修。由于这批机器的生产日期已经是好几年以前了，免费维修停止也是意料之中的事。要让我在电子产品中再找一个免费维修长达3年的出来，恐怕也不太可能。游戏博客Destruoid询问了微软的技术支持并得到了确认的消息，即首发批次机器不再享有免费维修服务。当然，只要你肯付一般性的维修费用，还是能把你的三红xb360修好的。
