Recent reports indicate that Sony may equip the PlayStation 6 with 24 GB of GDDR7 memory to manage production costs and keep the retail price reasonable.
The PS5 uses 16 GB of GDDR6 memory. Earlier leaks suggested the PS6 might feature up to 30 GB or more, but high DRAM prices fueled by AI demand have prompted a reconsideration.
Settling on 24 GB with a 128-bit bus is said to save about $60 per console while offering developers substantially more memory than the current generation.
The change could help the PS6 launch price closer to $499-$599 感觉呵呵吧
