一群闲得蛋疼的人在底下争论了好几页页“娘娘娘娘你好娘”到底是不是“gay gay gay gay u r so gay”的意思……

Okay, since no one has brought this up, I'll tell you all about it. The "Chinese" section of the song, in the slang of modern Chinese used in Taiwan and mainland, "Niang" = GAY. So what she sang was exactly:
"GAY GAY GAY GAY YOU'RE SO GAY".
The fact that she sang this in front of Alto was an accidental comedic gold which unfortunately probably to most viewers and its creators. Next time you want to tell some one you think he's a fag, just sang show him this clip. What a great show!

Not really. The name of the restaurant is 娘娘 (Niang Niang). That's what she sang. Niang is a slang for gay. In fact, "Ni hao niang" is exactly what you'd say if you want to point out how gay a person is.
BTW, "Niang Niang" compound means "mistress" or "lady of the house". The Japanese get confused because they thought 娘 means daughter in Chinese as well, but in fact character means "mother" by itself. No real Chinese restaurant would use that name. Maybe they forgot consult a Chinese speaker.

Further explaination:
"Niang Niang Niang Niang" = "Gay Gay Gay Gay"
"Ni Hao Niang" = "You're so/very gay"
Although most Japanese knows the greeting "Ni Hao" means "how are you", they do not know that "Hao" is also used as an adverb meaning "very". So "Ni Hao Niang", instead of being "Ni Hao" + cute cat-like ending, became a grammatically perfect sentence "You're so/very gay".

it IS a Chinese restaurant... but with a silly name. But most Chinese restaurants in Japan has silly names so I guess it's normal. This name was left over from the original Macross series as it's the name of the restaurant Minmay worked in.
well I thought it was Nyan-Nyan like the sound the japanese think cats make.
