ELECTRONIC ARTS ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH CRYTEK GMBHWorldwide agreement to develop and publish new PC franchise
Chertsey, Surrey, UK, July 23, 2004 C Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS), the world’s leading interactive entertainment software company, today announced a worldwide strategic partnership to develop and publish a new game franchise with developer Crytek GmbH. The agreement builds on Crytek’s success with its first title, the chart-leading first-person shooter, Far Cry, and brings together the creative talent of Crytek with the publishing expertise and unrivalled reach of Electronic Arts. The highly regarded German developer will create an exciting new game franchise for the PC based on original intellectual property. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.FONT>

BS发E国文不翻译的！ Farcry的开发公司Crytek宣布已经签约EA，将为EA推出采用全新技术和智慧财产权的PC游戏。Crytek已经为之前的东家Ubi Soft拿出著名的Farcry射击游戏，依照和Ubi Soft签署的合约，Crytek还将为Ubi Soft再推出一款游戏，之后就将转投EA，为EA推出游戏。Crytek为EA推出的第一款游戏，将不会是Farcry的续集。CryTek人员在去年的ECTS大会上曾经透露将会推出Farcry的续集。预计Crytek为EA开发的第一款游戏，将部分采用来自于Facry的3D技术。Crytek董事长Cevat Yeli表示：“我们期待与EA的合作，我们先进的技术和创造力，结合EA的产品支持、市场行销，将为用户带来更多的原创游戏体验，同时促进我们业务的成长。” 看看！
